is great, despite what people are saying. No, it’s not another “Telephone” but who said it was supposed to be? It’s dark, artistic, and overflowing with Gaga-ness. What more do you want?!
sucks. Like, it’s horrible. Only good thing is that it’s short, so you can save your ears from extended exposure.
I’ve been falling out of love with The Bravery ever since I shot them in concert here in Greensboro for the bicentennial a few years ago (for some reason, Greensboro wanted them??? LOL). First album was overall very good, with a few random stupid tracks. Second album was just awful…then they re-released it and it was slightly better, but still horrible. This one sounds even more like a bad 80’s new wave/post punk carbon copy that skipped puberty and decided to incorporate echoes randomly throughout the album, because that supposed to sound cool or something?
“Song for Jacob” is eh, only because I like the bouncy 80’s synths throughout the song and drum line that they stole from better artists.
“I Have Seen The Future” is apparently supposed to be a Blue Monday influenced track…but I don’t hear it. If anything, I hear a dancier version of “Call Me” by Nikka Costa…but no Blue Monday.
For the record, I’m not a big fan of any of these new wave/post punk commercialized “revival” bands (The Killers, The Bravery, Louix XIV, Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, etc). I much prefer…you know…the ORIGINALS.
