The sun was kinda shitty today…so I didn’t really get to catch any good rays

I might go back out again later and swim some laps (OMG exercise!) b/c I am bored and don’t feel like eating all of the Aumans food since it’ll make me feel bad that I am such a pig!

Yep…still have not found a web designer who will help me…I think I am just going to tweak the site little by little and hopefully it’ll be ready before Coachella and Bonaroo (you have to have a legit site or publication to get a photo pass) so that I can be there with my cameras!

Today was fun…we (Fabio, Amanda, and I) shot some dudes house so that they can sell it (huge ass fucking mansion type shit! It was HUGEEEEEEEEEEEE)…and that was it…tomorrow is a PP day, so it’ll be fun to see how Amanda and Fabio edit all of our images (unfortunately we have to wait for the bride to pick out her shots, before we start editing) from the wedding, house, and everything else we did last week (like 600 shots for dolce vida, which all need to be color corrected)

It’s a dirty job, but somebodies gotta do it. Glad it’s not me ^_^

The wedding went well…I think…granted I didn’t have a lens that I could open past 5.6 at the telephoto end which made me resort to pumping up ISO to 1600 for the majority of the indoor shots, I think I did well. I think I managed to achieve some good images that tell stories and are not simply portraits or snapshots. Yeah half of them are noisy beyond belief, but Amanda can make those B&W and *bam*…instant photojournalism shot that hopefully the bride will love.

I am sooooooo glad Ian let me borrow his 18-135 b/c without it I would have been FUCKEDDDDDD. Yeah even with the long lens, I still managed to annoy people (I am not very discreet when I am shooting…I like to duck, run, stand, crawl, and act like a crackhead) before, during, and after the wedding with my constant movement…but I mean…who wants images from the same angle? I wouldn’t…idk

Anywho…yay wedding…yay location shoot tomorrow…yay housesitting for Ash’s parents

I have given up on trying to design my own website. It is too damn fucking confusing.

I decided to hire a web designer.

Anywho…yay the wedding is outdoors! Which means that I should be ok with shutter speed! As long as I don’t drop below 1/15 of a sec, then I should be fine. I have crazy steady hands for some reason.

So yeah…waiting on Fabio to finish being a macho man and finish running 4 miles (he’s CRAZY!) so I can like…actually know when and where to meet Amanda saturday morning for ze wedding…omg it’s going to be so fucking hot…I am going to melt my vagina off!

Plus I have to ask him if I can do a shoot Saturday night at the studio…and I am extremely nervous about asking b/c I HATE asking for favors

I really haven’t shot ANY models…at all…EVER…the people for LAMBDA don’t really count…since they were just posed snapshots at best…but now that I have models on ModelMayhem throwing themselves at me (it’s sad, really),  I have more models than I can ever want…but I feel bad charging them since I am so unexperienced…so I might have to make these first shoots, test shoots just b/c they are poor, aspiring models and I am a poor, photographer.

I have crazy, kookie, off the wall ideas that I want to use into shoots. I would post them on here, but people tend to judge me as a Herb Ritts wannabe or David LaChapelle copy. umm…FUCK THAT. I am original and yes, those photogs inspire me, but I am in no shape or form, a wannabe.

My OneNote folder is filled with hundreds of horrible drawings of photo ideas…I just need to stop being lazy and shoot!

Well I am not really lazy…I am just scared…I really hate asking people for favors, and in order to do the majority of my shoots, I need to ask Fabio if I can use the studio. Idk why I am so scared…I’ve just always tried to rely on myself and never ask for favors. It seriously takes me hours just to call into work and ask for a weekend off…I feel horrible! Isn’t that funny? I tend to present myself as a total asshole, but I am actually very courteous. Is this b/c I am mexican and I still have machismo instilled in me? Doubtful, but still possible.

So yeah…I’m off to figure out how the fuck I can post images on the internet without losing the beautiful colors I enhance in photoshop. FUCK sRGB!!!!!!!!!! RGB is the best, and idk why the internet cannot just accept that.

Worked 10 hours yesterday. 10 hours today. FOR FREE (technically I paid to work since I paid for my lunch today since Fabio was busy) . Would I do it again?

In a heartbeat.

I love working with Fabio and he is by far the best contact I have made in the photo industry to date. Watch out y’all, Fabio is gonna blow up in this bitch. And I was right in on the action.

Amanda was so funny today. I love watching her and Fabio fight. It is so entertaining. So we are in the process of shooting the entire stock of Dolcevitainc.us and it is taking FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean we have to take each and every garment, hang it up, shoot it, and continue. Yeah it sounds easy…but I mean DAMN it’s a lot of shit! Plus it all has to be hung similarly and nicely and look chic. Oh and by “shit”, I mean $2000 jackets and $200 t-shirts etc. It is nice ass shit and I feel special that I get to be near such nice clothing (since it’s about as close as I am ever going to get to stuff like that…lol)

So yeah…luckily I get to sleep in tomorrow and work at my other job, which is good b/c I need money b/c I am poor and all of my money goes into my savings for whatever reason (oh yeah…that’s right…if I have money in my checking, then it will be spent within 24 hours)

I don’t work til 3, which means (in theory) I can spend the day working on my WEBSITE!!!!!!!!! I mean damn people…how long have I had this thing? And it’s still not done!
